Paris Fury appeared to say ‘no chance’ and shook his head as her heavyweight champion husband Tyson spoke of his plans to retire following his win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.
New footage has captured Paris Fury appearing to say “no chance” in response to her heavyweight husband Tyson’s request to retire.
The ‘Gypsy King’ made his return to the UK in front of 94,000 fans where he dispatched title challenger Dillian Whyte with a brutal sixth-round stoppage. After the fight, Fury announced to the record-breaking crowd that he remained focused on hanging up his gloves despite the prospect of an undisputed title fight next.
However, new footage has captured Paris’ reaction when Fury announced his promise to his wife to retire and return to spend time with his family. Fury’s wife appeared to shake her head and mouth “no chance” in reaction to her husband’s announcement to end his career.
She might suggest that Fury is unlikely to end his career and will continue to ply his trade in the Iron Square. Likewise, she could have uttered the words in response to claims that he could return to the ring for another time after promising he would stop fighting after his trilogy with Deontay Wilder ended.
Fury has confirmed he has now achieved all of his ambitions in the sport after fulfilling his promise to fans to return to the UK. . “I promised my lovely wife Paris of 14 years that after the Wilder 3 fight that would be it,” he told BT Sport after the fight.
“I meant it, we had a war, it was a great trilogy and I meant it. But I was offered to fight at Wembley at home and I believe I owed it to the fans, to every single person at the UK to come here and fight at Wembley. Now that it’s all done I think that’s it, this could be the last curtain for the Gypsy King. What a way out, big thanks to UK!”

Fury previously claimed he was not interested in any fights with the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk later this year. However, he quickly backtracked after confirming he would consider a return to the ring in a crossover fight against UFC star Francis Ngannou.
Fury’s wife, Paris, previously told Tyson to retire after any fight against Joshua was over. She has now admitted that it would be impossible for the champion to turn down the option of a unification battle. She told BT Sport: “He’s got nothing left to prove – that’s the thing, if he had anything left to do I’d say Tyson, you do it. Unless he really wants to box – for fame or money or whatever – he’s not doing it. No need for that. Tyson is the most famous man on the planet tonight.
“I know in my heart that the only reason Tyson would come back is for a unification fight and that would be the only reason. He has nothing more to prove.”
