Panasonic India has launched its latest flagship model Lumix GH6, a next generation mirrorless digital camera in India with a starting price of Rs 2,34,990. When clubbed with the lens kit being a 12-60 f/2.8-4.0mm lens, the price goes up to Rs 2,79,990.

LUMIX GH6 is equipped with advanced processing technology and creative features that enable it to deliver exceptional mobility and high video performance, the company claims. The Lumix GH6 has a magnesium alloy body and a rugged design. It’s supported by a 25.2-megapixel Live MOS sensor which, together with the company’s proprietary Venus Engine, delivers a wide dynamic range.

Panasonic claims the engine enables fast rendering of high-resolution images with a natural noise texture and rich color reproduction. The LUMIX GH6’s 2D and 3D noise reduction features enhance the visual quality of video with dynamic motion and advanced capabilities that exceed today’s professional standards.

The autofocus performance of the LUMIX GH6 has been improved through the use of the new sensor and image processing engine. The latest LUMIX edition runs on intelligent heat management technology to allow users to record for longer durations without the camera body getting too hot.

It comes with an ISO sensitivity as low as ISO 100, along with 4K video quality recording and a 5-axis gyro sensor. It also supports unlimited 10-bit video recording time for more professional-grade video performance. The LUMIX GH6 also supports non-linear editing without transcoding and enables recording at 300 fps, to capture dynamic subject movement.

It has an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) live viewfinder as well as a 2200mAh rechargeable battery. The camera has a dual card slot, one for the CFexpress card and the other for the SD memory card, as well as a USB 3.2 Gen 2 slot.

Panasonic has also promised a future firmware update, where users will experience improved performance for video recording.
