WEST FARGO — Dan Holder has accepted the position of Liberty Middle School’s next principal.
Holder began his career in education in 2002 as a social studies teacher at West Fargo High School. During this time, he also spent two years as the school’s part-time student dean. In 2011, he accepted the position of vice principal at West Fargo High School, a position he held until transferring to an assistant principal position at Liberty Middle School in 2014.
Holder holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in social studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
After interviewing and then selecting Mr. Holder, Mr. Williams said, “West Fargo Public Schools have been fortunate to have Mr. Holder on staff for two decades. During this time, he has proven himself to be a forward-thinking educator and a compassionate leader and colleague. His vision for Liberty Middle School and West Fargo Public Schools aligns with the district’s mission to educate all learners for the world of tomorrow. His role in building the Liberty Middle School community will be invaluable to the future success of students and staff.
Holder will assume his new position at Liberty Middle School on July 1. He replaces Ms. Michelle Weber, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
